E- Knowledge for Women in Southern Africa (EKOWISA) is an innovative regional non-governmental organization (NGO) whose:

Aim
Is to generate, analyze, translate, repackage and disseminate locally relevant information and knowledge for the enhancement of better livelihoods by promoting the effective and efficient use of information communication technologies (ICTs).

Mission
To promote the development of a gender sensitive knowledge society through the effective use of appropriate ICTs at local, national, and regional and international.

Objectives
1. To enhance the capacity of selected communities and community based groups’ usage of various ICT tools in managing local content and economic development
2. To enhance the capacity of women and women’s organizations to effectively use ICTs for advocacy and development during the next 2 years
3. To mobilize participation in the ICT policy and media arena through a Gender and ICT structured networking and collaboration caucus group
4. Develop qualitative and quantitative data for decision-making and policy intervention on gender and ICT issues.
