Charles Chigwada is a male survivor of domestic violence. Charles has five children from his first marriage but is now staying with a girlfriend whom he is not married to because of the violence he has suffered at the hands of this girlfriend.He has suffered physically, emotionally and psychologically and this has been worsened by this girlfriend’s infidelity.

He tried to tolerate his girlfriend until he tried chasing her away but she however ganged up with her boyfriends and assaulted him.

He even sought and was granted a Peace Order by the courts to no avail. The girlfriend would still visit Charles at his workplace and assault him verbally and physically in front of his colleagues who could only watch in astonishment.

Charles has worked with the Girl Child Network and PADARE Men’s Forum on Gender disseminating information on Gender Based Violence and is still on that programme.
