Welcome to E-Knowledge for Women in Southern Africa (EKOWISA) Star Profile which seeks to inform and enlighten you on what transpires in the communities our organization works in. EKOWISA works with three grassroots communities in Zimbabwe namely Highfields-Glen Norah, Mutoko and Mhondoro. It is from this background that our organization thought it best to profile the great works that some of our community members are doing in their communities.

Our first profile is about Alayika Bhasikolo who resides in Highfields, Harare. She is one of the women who is doing extra-ordinary community work on a voluntary basis. Alayika is a foster mother of abandoned babies before they are permanently placed in orphanages. She has managed to help four abandoned babies who include one destitute and one abused child.
